Overview of Puppy Preparation and Placement-All prospective puppy buyers must complete a questionnaire. We interview all prospective puppy buyers, and encourage them to visit us to see the sire, dame and puppies. The Vizsla puppies are exposed to birds when they are six weeks old. When they are seven weeks old we temperament test our Vizsla puppies to demonstrate that they not only are versatile but also have natural hunting instinct. Temperament testing is a good predictor of the personality and traits of the Vizsla puppies. This is invaluable in determining the right placement for the puppies. We socialize the puppies until they are ten weeks old thus allowing them more time to interact with adult dogs and strange people. We instruct buyers how to continue caring for and socializing their puppy. Our contract requires a buyer to enroll the puppy in Puppy Kindergarten classes before it is sixteen weeks old. We remain in contact with the new owners over the dog’s life.

All puppies are sold under a contract. We will co-own the puppies and they will be sold on a limited registration. This registration will be altered once it is evident the puppy has proven out. Tails are docked and dew claws are removed soon after birth. The first set of immunizations is given at nine weeks. We recommend that all puppies are taken to their veterinarian immediately after arriving at their new home.
